Arpit Kapoor (University of NSW)
Bachelor of Technology (Computer Science & Engineering)
Arpit is a DARE PhD candidate studying hydrology at the University of New South Wales, focusing on Bayesian Deep Learning for Spatio-temporal modelling in hydrological processes.
He has worked for multiple start-ups solving business-critical data intelligence and computer vision problems. He received his undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering in 2019. During this period, he was the team leader of the humanoid robotics research lab at the University.
His recent research has focused on Bayesian Neural Networks, MCMC and their applications in time-series modelling and quantifying uncertainty in landscape evolution models. He wants to use his data analytics, machine learning, and software development skills to solve advanced hydrology and earth science problems.
