Linduni Rodrigo is a DARE PhD student who joined in February 2021. Her research interests include probabilistic modelling and variable selection methods, with particular application to -omics data.

She holds a Master by research degree in Bioinformatics from the Queensland University of Technology and there she studied about the machine learning methods to identify interaction between genetic variants associated with complex diseases. She also holds a B.Sc. in Statistics from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. After her bachelors she worked as a Research Assistant and a Probationary Lecturer at Sri Lanka Technological campus for 2 years.

Linduni is also fluent in Sinhala and has translated her bio to celebrate DARE’s cultural diversity.

Linduni Rodrigo,  2021 වර්ෂයේදී දත්ත විද්‍යාව පිළිබඳ දර්ශනවේදී  උපාධි ශිෂ්‍යාවක් ලෙස DARE ආයතනයට සම්බන්ධ වු අතර ඇය  අධයනය කරන පර්යේෂණ ක්‍රමවේද අතර  Probabilistic graphical models සහ Bayesian Variable selection ප්‍රධාන වේ.

ඇය Queensland තාක්ෂණ විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයෙන් ජෛව තොරතුරු විද්‍යාව පිළිබඳ පර්යේෂණ උපාධියක් ලබා ඇති අතර එහිදී ඇය සංකීර්ණ මානව රෝග හා සම්බන්ධ ජානමය ප්‍රභේද අතර අන්තර්ක්‍රියා හඳුනා ගැනීම සඳහා යොදාගත හැකි   Machine learning  ක්‍රම පිළිබඳව අධ්‍යයනය කළාය.  ඇය 2016 වසරෙදී ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ශ්‍රී ජයවර්ධනපුර විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයෙන් සංඛ්‍යානය පිළිබඳ විද්‍යාවේදී ගෞරව උපාධියක් ලබා ගැනීමෙන් පසු  ශ්‍රී ලංකා තාක්ෂණ මණ්ඩපයේ පර්යේෂණ සහකාර සහ  කථිකාචාර්යවරියක් ලෙස වසර 2 ක කාලයක් සේවය කර ඇත.
