Patrice de Caritat (Geoscience Australia)

Lic. Sci., Geol. Mineral.
PhD, Geology

Originally trained in geology and mineralogy, and with a PhD in geochemistry, Patrice’s research interests have broadened to include environmental and exploration geochemistry, hydrogeochemistry, isotope geochemistry, low-density geochemical mapping, and forensic geochemistry. Patrice is currently Principal Research Scientist at Geoscience Australia; Adjunct Professor at the University of Canberra; and Visiting Fellow at the Australian National University. In the context of DARE Patrice is interested in applying advanced analytics to soil biome data to extract relationships and build predictions between geological factors and the DNA fingerprint of soil microorganisms.
