Rafael Oliveira is a post-doctoral research fellow with the School of Computer Science, the University of Sydney. He is currently working for the Centre for Translational Data Science. His current research focuses on developing statistical machine learning algorithms for problems stemming from planning under uncertainty and Bayesian inference, with particular applications to robotics and geoscience.

Rafael completed his PhD at the School of Computer Science, the University of Sydney, in 2019. He also holds a Bachelor degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Brazil.
