Dr Vincent Chin (University of Sydney)

PhD, Statistics

Vincent Chin joined the ARC Training Centre in Data Analytics for Resources and Environments in 2020, where he is currently a postdoctoral research fellow. He holds an integrated Master’s degree in MORSE (Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics) from the University of Warwick and a PhD in Statistics from the University of New South Wales.

Vincent has published research articles in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of the Royal Statistical Society and the European Journal of Epidemiology. His current research in the centre focuses on developing probabilistic models for hazard reduction in bushfire control, and building Bayesian fish stock assessment methods for the Global Fishing Index.
